Back from the Gilis or Nusa Penida? Laundry Near Sanur Harbour

Off the fast boat at Sanur with sandy, salty clothes? How to handle island laundry before it smells, and where to wash it 10 minutes from the harbour.

Most boats back from the Gili Islands land at Sanur Harbour in the late afternoon. The Nusa Penida and Lembongan boats come in all through the day. Either way, you usually step off with the same thing: a bag of swimwear, beach towels and clothes that have spent days in salt water, sand and humidity.

Here is what we see every week at the shop, and how to get your clothes back to normal without ruining them.

Where the boats land, and how far we are

Sanur Harbour (Pelabuhan Sanur) is on Jl. Matahari Terbit in Sanur Kaja. It opened in November 2022 and replaced the old beach departures. CLIIN Laundry is on Jl. Batur Sari in Sanur Kauh. On Google Maps that's 2.9 km, about 10 minutes by car via Jl. Danau Beratan.

From the Gilis and Lombok: published 2026 timetables show direct boats arriving in Sanur from about 15:50 to 17:25. Delays are common when the sea is rough.
From Nusa Penida and Lembongan: crossings take about 30–45 minutes, with return boats through the day until around 17:00.

Why island laundry can't wait

Wet, salty clothes zipped into a bag in Bali's heat start to smell within a day, and mildew spots can follow. Salt dries stiff on fabric, and fine sand gets into seams and pockets. The longer it sits, the harder it is to get out.

What to do before you hand it over

Shake out the sand before you pack, on the beach or at the boat. Sand in a washing machine is bad for the clothes and the machine.
Keep wet things separate. Put swimwear and towels in a separate plastic or dry bag so they don't soak everything else.
Empty your pockets. Reef-safe sunscreen tubes, coins and boat tickets turn up every day.
Tell us about stains. Sunscreen and fake-tan marks on white towels and shirts are the usual ones. Point them out and we'll treat them first.

Which service to choose

Flying out tonight or tomorrow morning? 3-Hour Express (Rp 60.000/kg) or 6-Hour Express (Rp 40.000/kg).
Staying a few more days in Sanur? Standard Service (Rp 18.500/kg), washed, ironed and folded in 24 hours. Wash · Dry · Fold without ironing is Rp 15.000/kg.
Beach towels and sarongs: these go in with your per-kilo wash. Bulky bedding is priced per piece.
